God has a plan to reach mankind and to relate to us, a
plan He initiated.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His
only Son, that whoever would believe in Him, would have
eternal life." John 3:16
Jesus Christ claimed to be God come down to us in the
flesh communicating God's love to us.
"I and the Father are one." John 10:30
If Jesus is God, then of course He has the every right
to claim that He is the only way to Himself.
"I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no
one comes to the Father, but through me." John 14:6
No one can reach God independently by their own plan in
their own self-effort.
"There is none who does good, not even one."
Romans 3:12
Jesus is better anyway, because He offers eternal life
as a free gift (cannot be earned by adopting a new code
of ethics or meeting religious standards.)
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free
gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 6:23
Jesus doesn't just command you to live right, He is
offers to live the Christian life from inside you.
"....... Christ in you the hope of glory."
Colossians 1:26-27
"I came that they might have life and have it more
abundantly." John 10:10
Jesus isn't just another better than ever forgiveness
plan; He is the power to live a Godly life, His life,
already built into us.
"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels,
that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of God
and not of ourselves." ll Corinthians 4:7
Jesus wants relationship: to be one Spirit with us, as
He is with the Father.
"He that is joined to the Lord, is one Spirit
with Him." l Corinthians 6:17
"That they may all be one; as thou Father, are in me,
and I in thee, that they also may be one in us........ "
John 17:21
Jesus births His
new life into us, to live the Christian life through us.
".... Unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he
cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. That which is born
of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the
Spirit is spirit. Don't not marvel that I said to you,
'You must be born again'."
John 3:5-7
