Tearing Down Strongholds
By: Tabitha Beard
One of the perks of mentoring is getting to know the up and
coming leaders that God is raising up today. Tabitha Beard,
Bible College student, writer and musician, is interning
with us and loves to share what God is faithfully showing
her. We all struggle with doubts and negative self-talk.
Enjoy the insights that God is revealing to Tabitha about
tearing down strongholds.

I listened to Carlotta's download (Tearing
Down Strongholds) and wrote detailed articles on each one.
God has revealed so much to me as I listened and wrote. I
encourage you to listen for yourself, rather than just
reading my articles in order to get the most of it.

Also, it is extremely important to follow these articles
in order. Not doing so could hinder and confuse the
process of your healing. At the bottom of each article, you
will be directed to the next one. Each article builds on the
previous because strongholds build on each other. Make
sure you realize the importance of following these in order
before you begin.
I would also like to point out that there is no need to
rush through these. I'm a fast learner and I process things
quick. Consequently, I like to move on quickly. However, I
benefited far more by taking my time with the strongholds.
At first, I was rushing through them. Allow God to reveal
Himself to you as you listen and read. Carlotta also
collected many verses to go with each stronghold. God
revealed so much to me even through the verses. I encourage
you to download the audio and manual in the download store.
To define strongholds, I'm going to take a paragraph from my
first article: "What is a stronghold? We build up
strongholds in our hearts when we have been hurt. We do this
in order to keep more pain from coming in. How do they
begin? First, as our hearts experience heart break and pain,
we allow a sinful reaction to the pain. Then, we begin to
defend our reaction to the pain. Strongholds begin when we
defend our sinful reaction because of their sinful behavior.
After sinful reaction comes a sinful behavior."
I hope you are encouraged by these articles! Strongholds are
often not seen by the person who has them. They begin
thinking they have a right to feel they way they do. By
going through the strongholds, I realized that my loved ones
were pointing out these strongholds in me because I did
have them, not because they were simply imagining
things. Allow Jesus to reveal which strongholds have
manifested themselves in your own life.
