Learn to discern!
Its
always easier to see the enemies plan in someone else,
but we have to learn to discern our own condition! The
reward of criticizing others is that we lose the ability
to perceive ourselves rightly (and others do it for us).
Scripture is given to us to help us discern the motives
of our heart and to destroy the works of the enemy. I
hope the following study of the Satan's destroyers will
alert and wake-up the slumbering.
Me captive?
Jesus said He came to set the captives free. We can know
God and still have areas of our hearts that have yielded
to compromise, especially after seasons of great hurt
and disappointment. Demons are opportunists that attack
while we are down and give us an offer we cannot refuse.
We begin to think ungodly thoughts which are soon
followed by ungodly behavior, which we rationalize, "under
the circumstances." When our friends try to tell us
that we are off course, we defend our right to think
this way (definition of a stronghold.)
