Expect the Glory of God to Fill
His Temple in Your Heart?

Then the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet, saying, "Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins? " Now therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts: "Consider your ways! Hag 1:3-5 NKJV

In the 6th month, the prophet Haggai exhorted them to build the temple that God may take pleasure in it and be glorified. The Spirit of the Lord stirred up his spirit to stir up the people to make building the temple of God their highest priority. Last time, we talked about being one who welcomes Him to commune with us daily and being one spirit with Him. Haggai speaks to us also - to make ourselves Christ's temple, as we allow Him to rearrange our priorities, spending, time management and goals.

So the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God, on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month ... Hag 1:13-15 NKJV

God wants to stir up your spirit to be a temple for Him to dwell in. He asked who could remember the Glory of the Lord in the temple. He stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel, son of the Governor and Joshua, son of the High Priest, to stir up the spirits of the remnant of the people. Those who would receive a passion to see the Glory of the Lord in the temple began to rebuild the temple. Will you be a temple for the Glory of the Lord?

In the seventh month, on the twenty-first of the month, the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet, saying: 2 "Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying: 3'Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? In comparison with it, is this not in your eyes as nothing? Hag 2:1-4 NKJV

In the 7th month, He called for their priority to be God's abiding place. His chief desire in creating you is to give you a passion to be a temple of the Lord where His priorities come first and your time, energy and resources are spent to usher in the Glory of God in a greater way than ever before.

God is calling a remnant to dedicate themselves as "God's temple." He chose us as His temple and wants to manifest His Glory through us everywhere we go. He promises that if we will dedicate ourselves to being a temple for His Glory, He will come and fill us with His Glory and the latter will be greater that the former. God promises to give us peace, to shake the heavens and earth, to overthrow false kingdoms and false leaders in them.

What is the passion of your heart? What are you building? What is more important than building a temple in your heart for God to abide in everyday? What is more important than manifesting His Glory? Can you grasp that the people will recognize the Glory of God in you and want it?

And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people."
2 Cor 6:16 NKJV

Yes, we are like plain beige melamine cups. We are just RECEIVERS and RELEASERS, receiving Jesus Christ and releasing Him to manifest His Glory through us anywhere, any time, any way He wants. Manifesting the Glory of God is the answer to all the problems we have today.

God promised He has chosen them and has given them a signet ring. Have you received the fact that according to God's Word, you are chosen and have inherited His spiritual power and authority as an ambassador of His Kingdom? You are called and commissioned to be an expression of His Glory. Will you quench His Spirit or totally yield to new manifestations of God's Glory, spiritual power and authority through you?

'In that day,' says the LORD of hosts, 'I will take you, Zerubbabel My servant, the son of Shealtiel,' says the LORD,'and will make you like a signet ring; for I have chosen you,' says the LORD of hosts."
Hag 2:23 NKJV

Expect God to do greater works than He did in the Old Testament! Expect the Holy Spirit to do a new thing through you. Watch out and don't let apathy or false contentment steal your vision and calling. Hold onto divine vision to BE a temple filled with God's Glory.

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who
is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For
you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in
your spirit, which are God's. 1 Cor 6:19-20 NKJV

Don't let go of faith and vision; it is time to be the temple. The prophet Zechariah preached a similar message and went on to share 8 visions from the Lord. He encourages us to believe that we will make a major impact on our communities as the Glory of God is demonstrated in the temple (us.)

RISE UP! GOD'S PURPOSE IS TO "BE" - NOT JUST TO "DO."

Don't be surprised when hostile neighbors resist the Holy Spirit and what He would manifest through you, as you receive and release Him in His Glory. Obey God and let your priorities be a challenge to everyone to make experiencing God's presence and Glory their top priority. Love the people but come against RELIGIOUS SPIRITS that try to box the Holy Spirit in.

Come against the spirits of lethargy, disinterest, false contentment and idolatry of your own home, success and/or building your own empire. Forget the eternal and you will be a slave to the temporal and the "urgent." Take time each day to "build His Temple" inside you and make your chief desire to see His Glory manifest in your quiet time and in the streets of your city.

We should never be satisfied until we are on purpose - God's purpose. If activity has replaced practicing His presence, repent and become a spiritual "being" instead of just a human "doing." Expect the Holy Spirit to bring major change in your life, priorities, time management, spending and faith. Begin to minister by His Spirit instead of your might and power.

"This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel:
'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,'
Says the LORD of hosts. Zech. 4:6 NKJV

Ask God to purify your heart of everything that would limit what His Spirit can do through you. Lay down on the altar every preconceived notion about the ways of the Holy Spirit and allow Him to be Himself in brand new ways. Lay your traditions on the altar and expect the Creator to be creative through you. Allow Him to RESTORE ALL THINGS before Christ returns - as He promised He would do in Acts 3:20-21. He wants to restore all things through people - like you and me.

God is the creator and very very creative. Amen?

All that is important about a cup is that it is filled and
that it is willing to pour Jesus out over and over.
