Restoration Prayer Ministry

Restore Relationships?

Restoring Your
Relationships with Yourself, Others and God.
Imagine peace
and harmony
with yourself, with others and
with God. You no
longer feel separated from your real self, in your
relationships with others or feel distant from God. You
begin to understand why Jesus prayed that we would be
"one" as He and the Father are one. As you come
into spiritual health, not just mental health, you
are able to focus all your energy (body, soul and spirit) to
fulfill your purpose and destiny.
The "greatest commandment" is to
love God with our whole heart and to love others as
ourselves. God planned that we would experience a
wonderful wholeness and peace in loving relationships. The problem
began when we had negative
reactions to experiences in the past, that are still coloring our
perceptions of our relationships with ourselves, others and God today.
People sometimes ask
Christian counselors, at Cross Walk Life, how
the past affect our current relationships? It
is not that the traumas of the past control our lives today or
just
that our negative reactions have created a filter that is
coloring our current relationships. We are all under
natural and spiritual laws that are true regardless of our
spiritual preferences. Just as the law of gravity works,
sowing and reaping works, in natural and spiritual life.
It
is that we all under the law of sowing and reaping:
we
are either still reaping negative reactions that we have sown in
the past or we have reverted back to negative reactions that we
practiced in the past.
|
|
For instance, when we
sowed criticism, bitterness, resentments, false accusations,
judgmental attitudes, jealousy or rejection, these reactions not
only affected our own health, expectations in our
new relationships, but
the seeds we sowed became our
crop to reap.
We continue to reap them until we repent of
sowing them, ask Jesus to forgive us and ask Him to restore us to health
in body, soul and spirit. This is where Christian counselors
with prayer ministry come in. |
|
|
|
We
have unhealthy negative reactions that are seeds
sown, to be reaped sooner or later in other
relationships. According to the law of sowing and
reaping, negative reactions, sown in the past, will be reaped
in our current or future relationships, even if they were sown when we
were children. If we sow criticism, we will reap criticism in
our relationships, sooner or later. Sowing and reaping
is a natural and spiritual law that works whether we believe
in it or not. Unhealthy negative reactions that we often
have sown are:
|
-
anger with
sin,
judgmental attitudes
-
unforgiveness,
resentment, bitterness
-
dishonoring
parents or authority
-
jealousy,
envy and covetousness
-
self-hatred,
self-rejection, self-pity
-
rejection,
accusation, fear of rejection
-
shame, fear,
manipulation and control
-
inner vows
(I will never ...)
-
isolation, depression, addictions
-
blame,
denial, excuses
-
word curses
over ourselves or others
|
|
|
When
a similar event or person triggers these negative reactions again,
the walls and self-defense mechanisms automatically go up
again. The more they are triggered, the stronger they
get. Meanwhile, the areas that need healing are sealed
in, like strongholds or emotional abscesses in the soul. These
walls not only keep pain out, but also prevent healthy ministry
and
healing from coming in.
What
we are describing here is not just a psychological process but
a spiritual result of breaking spiritual laws in the spiritual
realm like:
Sowing and
reaping - Gal. 6:7-10
Dishonoring parents - Eph. 6:1-3
Judgmental attitudes - Matt. 7:1, Rom. 2:1-4
Bitter root expectation - Heb. 12:14-15
Restoration
Prayer Ministry is more effective than secular mental health
because
Jesus, the
Spirit of Truth, is able to forgive us and to bring our old
crop to death, so that He is free to bring us into healing,
body, soul and spirit. (See the
Cross Walk Prayer) Just as light always overcomes darkness, so truth
will dispel the lies and misconceptions in our lives.
The passion of Christ is to visit with us daily, giving us
more insight so that we can know love ourselves, others and
God with all our hearts.
God is not a time creature and
he will heal you from conception
on, at all ages of development and in all areas of your life,
as you allow Him in. Just as we developed these walls at
all ages, all ages can be healed and brought into harmony
again. Finally, we are free to experience peace and wholeness and
to have healthy
relationships.
The result is
that we are released from reaping the negative and are able to
focus all of our talents, gifting and energy on fulfilling our
God given goals. We are more pro-active and responsive, rather
than reactive. Restoration Prayer Ministry, at Cross Walk Life, will also help to give you
clarity and certainty to understand your personal
purpose and destiny.
Many of us are exhausted from
trying to improve our performance,
so that we can be perfect enough
to earn approval and acceptance (that will hopefully would
make us feel good about ourselves.) Some of us ruined
our health and lost our peace trying to improve our
relationships in our own strength or with mental health
modalities. Believe me, no amount of education and
knowledge can heal your wounded spirit.
Sometimes, when others
have hurt us, we have unconsciously
recorded IOUs and now we expect our new relationships to heal us or to make up for losses we have
experienced in the past. We may overreact or dump our
anger on them, out of hidden frustrations. We may insist
that they perform better too, so that we can be more
successful.
Restoration Prayer
Ministers are ministers who partner with Jesus to bring truth,
restoration and health into these areas and take care of those IOU's!
