In the 50-60s, there was still a witch
in every Disney movie but they were the bad guys. In the 70s,
organized efforts - to desensitize us to witchcraft - were more common - with
witchcraft in cartoons, comic books, children's books and many movies. It
still "felt like" true satanists were rare even after the Temple of Set broke
away from Anton La Vey's Church of Satan and it gained non-profit status in
1975. Since then, satanism as a legitimate religion has thrived under this
protection.
By the 80s there were hundreds of thousands of satanists in the US and citizens began
to blame them for stealing and sacrificing their
pets and animals, child pornography and molestation, child kidnappings, and the
ritualistic murder of men, women, and children. Police were often
intimidated and did not adequately investigate reports of rituals in
pre-schools, sexual abuse by secret societies and the alarming increase of
kidnappings, where there was clear evidence of torture and mutilation.
Prosecutors were frustrated when evidence would "disappear," children suddenly
looked numb and denied their accusations, and they were returned to their abusers
as the case fell apart. While there are between 1-2,000,000 possible human
sacrifice cases every year, law enforcement is often either afraid to report
them or afraid of creating a panic.
The decade of the 80s was also the decade of teen satanism and mental health
facilities were full of teens who said they were forced to participate in satanic worship,
rituals, orgies, mind control, programming with drugs or consuming blood, urine
and feces. Some were "bloodline" - born into satanic covens and as
toddlers they were forced to participate in sacrificing their own pets, rituals,
ritual abuse or human sacrifices. Others were seduced by a desire for
supernatural information or power. They had personality shifts, fragmented
personalities, rages, nightmares, sleep disorders, scars from torture,
self-mutilation, suicide attempts and were addicted to food, alcohol or drugs,
hoping to block the painful memories.
By the 90s, signs of teen involvement were rampant. Satanists had
empowered gang members, rock singers and actors, who in turn seduced many
into Scientology or many isms, all of which opposed Christianity. New
members were recruited in schools, churches, retreats, Indian sweat lodges,
Shaman groups, secret societies, New Age meetings, medieval festivals, Halloween
parties, parties given by people unknown to their parents, etc. etc. Many
of these new members became victims of sexual abuse if not much worse.
Everywhere you went there were people who were obsessed with the occult,
death metal, tattoos, self-mutilation, suicidal music and thoughts, witchcraft
power and computer games, black clothes and makeup, satanic movies, books, jewelry,
substance abuse, strange alphabets, double language, and hatred for their parents,
God, Jesus and the church.
Many Christian parents still do not discern when their child is being recruited
by witches who may give them a satanic bible, Ouija board, Dungeons and Dragons,
video games, death metal, Harry Potter books, occult tools, movies, objects with curses
on them or occult jewelry. Believers are still opening their doors wide open to
satan - not only by acting and dressing like the world, wearing ankhs, Italian
horns and other witchcraft jewelry - but they bring occult objects, music and
friends into their homes. The whole family may watch movies and
TV series on witchcraft, not knowing they are inviting demonic spirits into
their lives.
A person isn't truly prepared to be a minister, in these end times, unless
they are able to understand the intense self-doubt, rejection, pain, guilt or fear of death
that survivors feel. Survivors must be assured that they deserve healing and
freedom and they are not crazy. Prayer counseling ministers do their best
to provide a safe place for them to to remember what happened, knowing they may
actually
feel the body memories too. Survivors live in horror of remembering actions
that will overwhelm them with guilt and shame (that is actually not theirs.)
Survivors need reassurance that we will not reject them but will be glad
that they survived the abuse and have asked for help. We are committed to standing by them as the Holy
Spirit heals, one memory and one prayer at a time. We know how to be led
by the Holy Spirit as we offer Restoration Prayer Ministry at their pace and
with the compassion of Jesus Christ. Darkness never casts out light; light
always casts out darkness. There is no pit so deep that Jesus is not
